About Terraza Levante

Terrace design studio on Carrer de Colón, València

Outdoor rooms for apartment living

Terraza Levante was founded to solve a specific Valencian problem: apartment terraces that bake in afternoon sun and sit empty until October. We combine landscape design with practical knowledge of rooftop structures, community bylaws, and materials that survive heat, salt air, and occasional Levante winds.

Our studio on Colón works with homeowners, property managers, and architects across the city. Every project balances shade coverage, planter integration, and seating layouts that make sense for how Valencians actually use their terraces—from morning coffee to late dinners under string lights.

Our approach to Mediterranean heat

Unlike northern European terrace firms focused on frost and wind, we design around solar gain, reflected heat from neighbouring walls, and the need for usable shade without trapping warm air.

Shade first

We calculate sun angles across seasons before choosing sail geometry, pergola orientation, or retractable options.

Cool surfaces

Light-toned ceramic tiles, ventilated deck systems, and planter edges that break up hard paving and reduce heat storage.

Evening comfort

Low-profile seating, indirect lighting, and layouts that catch breezes from the Turia or the sea after sunset.
